When my dishwasher flooded my kitchen, I had to disconnect it to prevent further flooding. Because it was the holiday, I didn't have time to shop and set up installation, so for several weeks I washed dishes by hand. I didn't hate it, reminded me of when I was child and this was my chore. It also felt good on my arthritis to wash them in hot water in the mornings before starting my day.
